Oil Slick

Hello Hello!

Before I jump into this post I have to apologize for the hiatus.I see my sissy V already posted something along the lines,we are truly sorry.
Now,it had been a while since I did my nails and this is one of my favorite combos and realizing I didn't post it yet decided that it would be today's mani :-)
I couldn't do a straight on picture of this since it wouldn't show the awesome effect. As my base I used Wet N' Wilds Black Creme and on top of that I used Nubar's 2010.I topped it all off with my trusty ol' SV and was done! So obvious where my title came from right? If you click on the picture you can see the awesomeness easier haha.Hope you ladies enjoyed this!

M.I.A!

Hey all,

I know you may be worried since we haven't posted in a while, me myself for almost 2 weeks! I just wanted to fill you in on the crazyness :) This past week my bf got really sick, and he couldnt handle smells... unfortunately he already hates the smell of my nail polishes and acrylics but the sickness made it worse. So I was literally banned from doing nails at my house haha. The day after he felt better I tried doing my nails, but the smell was getting to me too :( so i knew i was getting sick. I felt better christmas eve but had no time to think about nails when i was trying to make cheesecake for the first time! (a few tries later and i think i got it) and then Christmas and family and presents ...oh my! So i finally got the time to relax and do my nails last night, i will post them a little later for everyone! Also my sissy has been sick too :( and i know busy as well with christmas and handeling my 3 adorable nephews! SO you will be seeing more nails this week! Thanks for being patient :)

Silver Gradient

Hello Hello!

So today I have yet another gradient for you. These colors were the first that came to mind and I'm glad they did.So here we go.
For the lightest color I used Sally Hansen's Celeb City, the charcoal color is China Glaze's Jitterbug and the black is Wet N Wild's Black Creme.Even though they aren't Christmas colors I think they're nice enough for the holiday.Hope you all enjoyed!

Incognito Argyle

Hello Hello!

Bringing it back to something subtle yet different.Hope you guys take a liking to this as much as I did.
I think the picture isn't completely true to the color in person but this is the closest I can get, believe me I took tons of pictures. It looks like it's leaning more towards a blue-ish but take my word that I think of it as a true purple. So I used Zoya's Mira and for the argyle I used my m60 image plate with my matte topcoat and voila! It's really noticeable even though it wasn't stamped with an actual color. All in all I love it and hope you do as well!

For my Snowman I used L.A. Color's White as the base and painted on his face which was easy.On the rest of my nails I used OPI's My Private Jet as the base.I put a rhinestone as the center of the snowflake and free handed the rest of it with a white stripe polish. Not as easy but really enjoying these, hope you did too!

Toe-Tally Tuesday!!!

Hi everyone!

SO I did a quick but cute pedi :) I wanted something that would stick out, and have gotten a lot of compliments on these, my bf really liked them and said it reminded him of a reverse lady bug :)

What I used: Wet N' Wild- Black Creme & NYC's Times Square (a must have for fellow pink-Lovers heehee)

I started off with 1 coat of black creme, & then took my dotting utensil and dipped it into the Times Square. Spotted each toe carefully and then i was done, see i told you all that it was super quick, and the cute design makes it look like it took time hahaha our little secret ;)

Hope you all enjoyed, I am thinking candy cane for christmas week :)
I know this picture is dark, but the flash is making the design not show up too well.

Part On My Nail

Hello Hello!

Okay not really, but my accent nail is sure speaking volumes haha.I did this because it was super fast and easy,as are most of my manis. So without further ado here they are.

I used Borghese's Stellare Notte which is pretty complex.I would describe it as a charcoal color with a plum undertone that has fine shimmer in it that I can only describe as opal-esque.My "party" finger is Milani's Gem.Over all not too shabby for a quickie heehee.Hope you enjoyed!

It's Christmas Time, In the CIty!!!!

Hello Everyone,

SO if you haven't noticed, i am continuing my theme of song titles :) and i am sure you guys love it!!!! What I did for my nails was a little bit of everything that I have done before, a little stripes, stamping & rhinestones :)

Continuing with the festivities, I am not going to break down everything. But what I used was 2 stamping plates, tape, rhinestones (different sizes) Zoya-Midori, Sally Hansen's- Scarlet red ( I FINALLY read the top of the dang bottle and it told me the name, it is no longer just red hahaha) and Sally's Hansen's- White on.

I think I am most proud of the striped nails with the mistle toe :) I cant stop staring at them, yeyyyyy for last minute improvising!!! If you guys want to know any techniques or what I used exactly, just ask :) I have to go wrap the rest of the gifts for sissy's kids haha and find a helium tank somewhere!? the things I do for family <3

Sorry I didnt clean up the cuticles :)

Glee!

Hello Hello!

So today as always I have a very easy mani.Nothing drastic or difficult at all.

I used one of my favorites which is Jesse's Girl's Glee and of course I stamped with Wet N Wild's Black Creme.I use my m57 image plate for the zebra print.Instead of a glossy topcoat I decided on going down a different route and did matte instead.Hope you liked it!

Pink Friday!!!

Hey Everyone!

For those who dont know, I LOVE Nicki Minaj! And since it was her birthday yesterday, I am going to do a pink friday mani (with cute little black bows and sparkles, oh my!) I know this is going to be pretty tame considering her style is very unique but i had a brain fart when it came to my nails! I just couldn't think, maybe all the christmas shopping has gotten to me hahaha

What I used: Orly-Lola, Black acrylic powder & a no-named glitter polish :(  I know, no-name= no-good! But its one of those dollar polishes you get when you're a kid.

I did 2 coats of Lola (awesome color!) and then patiently... yes i said it...patient haha waited for those coats to dry I then applied 2 coats of the no name glitter. While I was applying the second coat I added the bows, one for my thumb, one for my middle finger and one for the pinky.. I had to switch up my accent fingers :) The Pictures dont do it justice! but I love the sparkles! I will deffinately begoing back to snowflakes though! I loved them wayyyyyy too much!

The Weather outside is Frightful!

Hi Everyone!

The weather outside actually isnt bad at all it went from 38 degrees to decently warm and sunny J  but i didnt know what else to name this post, and I named my last post "Let it snow" so I went with another holiday title heehee! So I wasnt quite sure what to do with my nails... so a little bit of everything just makes sense!

I used so many things: Salleys Hansens- Red & White on! Wet n' Wilds- Black Creme, Milani- Gold Glitz (awesome polish!) Green Glitter, White Glitter, RHINESTONES!, Seche-vite (of course!) & Random silver metallic polish I have had since I was like 12 haha

I started off with 2 coats of red. And let me say i was already in the holiday spirit! Then I started on my thumb (that being the easiest) I took different size rhinestones and from the tip worked my way down... not all the way, I started to taper off in the middle. Then I brought out some tape, I wanted to do stripes (because they are awesome!) so on my pinky I did diagonal and on my pointer finger I did horizontal. Pinky was super easy too, I taped off the parts I wanted  to keep red and then put seche- vite on and dumped a whole bunch of green glitter on! After the excess was off I just waited for it to dry. Pointer finger took a little longer, I taped off what I wanted to keep red, then painted white. Waited for it to dry, then took off that tape. Put tape over the white and red parts that I was going to keep and painted my nail with the Milani- Gold Glitz. While I had been waiting for paint to dry (Literally!)I worker on my middle finger and took the Glitter Striper polish and designed a snowflake, pured white glitter on that, then realized ou couldn’t really see the snowflake. I took the metallic silver and went over the lines and the added more white glitter and a rhinestone in the middle as you can see  in the picture of me waiting for the Gold Glitz to finish drying so I could take the tape off.

Then I did a make-shift snowman, was going to go with a christmas tree but I though my nails needed a little more white in them J I hope you guys like it! Theres plenty more holiday nails where this came from!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it SNOW!!!

Hi Everybody!

So I finally received my snowflakes in! & I cant tell you enough how much i love them :) I will probably do snowflakes year round because of this! So nice and delicate. Anyways, so after i got them and immediately text my sissy i decided to get down to business.

What I used: Insta-dri- Brisk Blue, White Glitter, a no name nail stripe polish & snowflakes

I started off with 2 coats of brisk Blue, as i put the second coat on I threw on some glitter to make it pop! And I made it more glittery on accident :) I was going through my nail polish bin (yes I said bin) and found a nail art clear glitter stripe polish, I put the polish all over my nail and it made the bigger chunks of glitter look even better! so I let all that polish-goodness settle for a second and then applied the snowflakes!

After the snowflakes I put on a UV top coat and let them cure for 3 minutes, you could use a top coat, it doesnt matter- just as long as the snowflakes stay on, right? This is my finished product. I LOVE THEM! SO simple, yet intricate. What do you guys think?

Walk On The Wild Side

Hello Hello!

So I know this is so old and has been done so many times but there's just those days that this is how I want to rock my nails :-) Of course I'm talking about leopard print.I switched it up a bit though because I wanted big spots so I free handed it instead of using my image plate.

What do you think? For the base I'm honestly not sure what I used because that polish is so old but to the best of my recollection I think it's a color club. The bottle has no writing on it anymore what so ever. For the spots I used Milani's Gold Glitz-after my last mani with it I knew it would be perfect for spots. My outline on the spots I used Wet N Wild's Black Creme.Hope you ladies (and fellas?!?) enjoyed!

A First For Me!

Hello All!

So I picked up these nifty nail strips one of the times I was visiting my sissy.I love everything that has to do with the whole "Dia de los muertos" so this design really jumped out at me.

This was my first time using the nail strips and was easy enough to do.You just got to make sure that you get all the air bubbles out so they are smooth.I bought them at Rue 21 for only a few bucks. The wear on them is suppose to last longer than plain ol' nail polish so I'll let you know how they hold up after a few days. All I know is I am already loving them since it cuts my work into less than half! Win win right?!? Hope you ladies enjoyed!

Dragonfly

Hello Hello!

I wanted to do a fun mani today and this is what I came up with...

I know I only added it to my ring finger but let's be honest,if it was on all of them it would be a bit much.So for this mani I used two coats of Wet N Wild's Shameless for my base.Notice any difference? Yup that's a really old school bottle,I've had it for probably around ten years. Why so long? It's one of my favorite blues so I use sparingly haha.Just goes to show how long I've been into polish :-) For the lily pad I used my green stripe polish that's a no name.Just added the dragonfly (which sissy gave me the mold for since I love them) and that's all it is to it.Nothing major but still not boring either.Hope you enjoyed!

Hello Kitty!

Hello All!

So I went a little Catty last night heehee. And like I mentioned before I have been practicing with other molds! Well, my bows finally came in! I have been planning these babies for a while, and I feel like I finally perfected the art of this. So here are my wise words... Try as best as you can to not have excess acrylic outside of the mold, THIN layers of nail polish if you are not using the colored acrylic you want & ONLY USE WHITE ACRYLIC. All of you can take my advice, I have just found that its easier with those 3 things... and I did some experimentation with UV gel & acrylic and every which way you can make it. Anyways :) before I bore you TOO much, let the nails begin!

What I used: White Tips, 1.5 mm Rhinestones (2 black, 1 yellow & 1 red), White acrylic, Wet N'Wilds- Black Creme, & Bow molds, Sally Hansen's-Red

I did the usual french tip :) and after an eternity of pain-staking-bow-making & painting time (it wasn't that bad!). I then got one of those little cuticle sticks that push the cuticles back (I never use it) and dipped one side in the Black Creme and then made 3 little lines on each side of my ring finger nail. I made the 3 dots (using my dotting tool)  2 black dots for the eyes & yello for the nose (pippa)
Then I started adding the bows :) Saving the best for last. I set the ring finger ow on and put the red rhinestone in the center, I looked at it and like it a lot! But something just felt off. Sooooo I took 2 little black rhinestones out of my pinwheel of rhinestones and one yellow and decided to use them last minute to make it pop :) never think that bling wont fix something, it adds depth, which adds UMFF haha.Finished it off with my UV Top Coat, let it cure for 3 minutes & I'm done

I Love the different sizes on the bows and that Hello Kitty's Face sticks out more with the rhinestones, Hope you Ladies like it!
